Raw material mixing
The current configuration has a mixing line with 3 bale openers where one has option to be filled by pneumatic transport system (production waste return). All bale openers are equipped with weight control and there can be any number of bale openers as well as feeders for non-fiber materials (foam chips, down and weather etc.

Fine opening/mixing
Mixing/pre-opening is needed to have perfect mix of previously weighed materials. As an option, mixing can be replaced with a fine opener for blow fill applications or usage of direct feed from bale opener.

Silos
Two intermediate silos are used in a specific setup to have optimal productivity and quality control over fiber ball process. Different shape/size and type of silos are available with weight control where needed, for almost any application.

Fiber-ball process
Fully automatic process to make fiber ball out of opened fibers.

NW-601 roll D consists of 2 rotors for increased output. Fiber enters rotor 1, from NW-540 with frequency-controlled ventilator for optimal capacity and quality control. From rotor 1 fiber exits to NW-540, from which fiber is fed into rotor 2, by frequency-controlled ventilator. Finally, fiber exits rotor 2 via output ventilator, after output ventilator there need to be a large enough silo to allow NW601 roll D to operate long continues cycles.

For less demanding conditions we have a fiber-ball line with just one rotor.

Filling lines
NW-540 dosing silo provides constant fiber flow to the scales. Each scale has independent fiber filling, emptying the pillow and dosing pipe connections. Standard scales are 200L. Option is to have 2 fillings per pillow however it will reduce production capacity by 50%.

The system can have any number of scales and there are 2 scale types to choose from depending on application.

Filling methods
The current line is equipped with “1 filling cabinet with 2 filling nozzles and automatic outfeed conveyor” but there are more than 10 options to choose from.
